Tara SueB (Case) Wells passed away at home on April 13, 2026. It was an

unexpected turn to a long illness.

Tara leaves with us her devoted husband Mark, the much loved Sazzy, and

pretty Monkey as well as their step-daughter Brittany and 2 granddaughters.

Tara is also survived by her mother, Irene, and siblings Nona, Guy, Dean,

along with a nephew and nieces. She was predeceased by her father Charles

and brother Dirk. She also leaves us her good friend, Lori "Crow", as she

was wont to say.

Tara came into this world July 2, 1965 and became the atypical "middle

child". The young family moved here from New Jersey when she was around 6

yrs old. Her parents, Charlie & Irene, built and operated what became a

favorite local watering hole (The Hideaway). You guessed it...this was the

first job on Tara's resume, COOK. All through school, Tara's weekends were

spent by the fryer. Skip over her years at Ethan Allen, and Tara was right

back at it...only this time Tara joined the love of her life, Mark, in

running The World(s) Famous Osceola Hotel.

She loved working side by side with her husband, and she excelled at being

in charge.

[Sidebar here...did you know Tara? She was a force of nature and when was

she not in charge?]

Much as Tara & Mark enjoyed their life, family and friends in NY, New

Smyrna Beach had a greater pull. After flitting back and forth for years,

they made their move official in 2019. Tara always said she was living her

best life there; she loved it so.

How can letters and words do justice to what makes a person? She had so

many facets in an extremely full and fun life. Tara didn't sit, unless it

was in the hot tub. She planted, she garage sale'd, she entertained, she

gardened, she cherished her animals, she visited, and she made her home a

place of warmth. Tara was conscious of having the life that she wanted with

the person that she wanted.

Did you know Tara? Because even this left her with a lot of spare time

so...she went to work for The Lodging Kit Company in NSB. Stay retired?

Pfft, no way. Her manufacturing skill set (remember we skipped over Ethan

Allen) was put to use again. She enjoyed working for the Colonel and

driving to work with the top down. Convertibles were her thing.

Tara was a loving person who took no guff. She chose to be happy in a world

that often isn't.

Dearest Tara....WE LOVE YOU

WE WILL ALWAYS MISS YOU

THANK YOU FOR BEING IN OUR LIVES
