Woodgate- Susan Moran, 62, a former long time resident of State Rt. 28 and more recently of Caring Partners UCP Home, Lowville, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at Albany Medical Center, Albany, NY.

Susan was born in Somerville, New Jersey, on September 23, 1963, a daughter of Judy Rielly. She grew up in Whitehouse Station, New Jersey, later living in the Fort Worth, TX, before returning to her residence in Woodgate, in 2006.

She graduated from the Special education Department of North Hunterdon, High School, Annandale, N.J. While living in New Jersey, Susan was employed as a laborer at ARC Center of Educational Advancement and after returning to Woodgate, she enjoyed attending the Schoonmaker Day Center, Boonville.

Susan greatly enjoyed and looked forward to participating in the Special Olympics, particularly, on the bowling teams and Cross Country Ski teams during the winters. She was also accomplished on the track & field team, participating on the standing and long jump team, as well as the sprint competitions.

Susan is survived by two brothers and sisters in law, Darren and Donna Moran and Dennis and Peggy Moran and their daughter, Stephanie; an aunt, Aleda Reilly and her children, Terrance and Michael. Also surviving is Susan’s best friend, Anne Haven. She was predeceased by her mother, Judy, in 1994, her grandparents, Paul and Louise Reilly and an uncle, Dave Reilly.

There are no services or visitation hours. Memorial contributions may be made to Special Olympics; please make payable to Special Olympics, Hunterdon/Warren, C/O Kathy Creveling, 213 Rt. 513, Glen Gardner, NJ. 08826. Her arrangements are in care of Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. Boonville.
