Spring Interment Notices

Arnold J. Miller - Graveside services with Military Honors will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at 11:00 A.M., at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Boonville. Arnie was the husband of Carol and for many years the couple managed the Boonville Agway Store on Park Avenue in Boonville. 

Douglas Keith Kranbuhl - Graveside services with Military Honors will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at 11:30 A.M., at Boonville Cemetery. Mr. Kranbuhl, age 98, was a Navy Veteran of WWII and the husband of Milfred "Millie" Plumber Kranbuhl.  Doug was a long-time employee of Eastern Rock of Boonville. 

Brett M. Parsons - Graveside services with Military Honors will be held on Friday, May 9, 2025, at 9:30 A.M. on Friday, May 9, at Westernville Cemetery, hamlet of Westernville, NY.  Mr. Parsons, a resident of Boonville, 1986 graduate of Adirondack Central School, Marine Corps veteran of Desert Shield/Desert Storm and current employee of Mativ of Lowville, passed away on April 22, 2025. 

Norma H. Donahue - Funeral Services will be held at 12 Noon, on Friday, May 9, 2025, at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville, where Deacon James Chaufty will officiate.  Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Boonville.  Norma passed away on February 8, 2025.  A life resident of Boonville, she was employed at Boonville Graphics and the Boonville Herald, before many years of employment as a Rural letter Carrier, for the U.S. Postal Service. 

Dennis John Crofoot - Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Constableville, for Dennis John Crofoot, 76, who passed away on December 24, 2025.  Mr. Crofoot was the husband of Deborah Thayer Crofoot and was employed for many years at Boonville Division of Ethan Allen Furniture Co., Boonville, retiring as Plant Superintendent.   He was also a longtime member, EMT, and former Chief at the Constableville Fire Department. 

Nancy L. Horton- Nancy L. Horton, 64, lifelong resident of Otter Lake, passed away on January 27, 2025.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary of the Snows Church, State Rt. 28, Otter Lake, on Friday, May 23, 2025, at 11:00 A.M., with Rev. Matthew Rawson, pastor as Celebrant.  Interment will follow in Woodgate Cemetery.  In addition to her Mass of Christian Burial, relatives and friends are also invited to attend a Celebration of her life, from 1:00-4:00 P.M., on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at The Lost & Found, State Rt. 28, Otter Lake, NY.  

Florence M. Hrim - Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at Boonville Cemetery.  Mrs. Hrim, the wife of the late Daniel P. Hrim, Jr., passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2025.  A lifelong resident of the Town of Leyden, she was a devoted homemaker who took great pride in caring for her children and creating a loving home.  

Emma May Lyon - Graveside services for Emma May Lyon, will be held on Friday, June 6, 2025, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Forestport, NY.  Emma May, a daughter of Christopher M. and Anne R. Risley Lyon, passed away on December 17, 2024, was a 2017 graduate of Adirondack Central School, Boonville, where she was very active in extracurricular school activities throughout all of her years at school. 

Mary Ann Beha- Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial for Mary Ann Beha, on Friday, June 6, 2025, at 11:30 A.M. at St. Joseph's Church, Boonville, where Rev. Matthew Rawson, pastor will officiate.  Mary Ann, who was a resident of Rome and daughter of Jean Marie Snyder Beha and the late Robert Beha, passed away on January 25, 2025. 

Roderick A. Smith - Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service for Roderick A. "Rod" Smith, on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at 12 Noon at Alder Creek Cemetery.  Following the cemetery service, all are invited to attend a Celebration of his Life, at the Trackside Trailblazers Snowmobile Club site, on Horton Road, Forestport.  Mr. Smith, affectionately known as Rod, passed away on March 12, 2025.  A longtime resident of Forestport, he was the husband of Linda Ludwikowski and Rod was a heavy equipment and heavy crane operator for many years and also a very accomplished snowmobile trail groomer in the Forestport area. 

Marie Richards- Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service for Mrs. Marie Richards, on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at 4:00 P.M., at Boonville Cemetery.  Mrs. Richards, passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2025, in Churchville, NY.  Marie and her husband, Ray, moved to from Webster, NY, to Forestport, where they lived on the North Lake Road for many years.  Mr. Richards passed away on June 6, 2002, and later Mrs. Richards relocated to Boonville, residing in Kortenaer Village, Boonville.  She was active in many Boonville area activities and will be fondly remembered for playing the part of "Boonville's Own Millie Pearl," at various nursing homes and churches. 

Carol Traxel Marks- relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service for Carol Traxel marks, at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, June 13, 2025, at Boonville Cemetery.  Mrs. Marks, who was a native and former resident of Boonville, was a daughter of Glenn and Emily Millen Traxel, passed away on August 8, 2024, at her residence in Lecanto, Florida. 

Edward "Ed" Yager- Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life, with prayers and a Chicken Barber Q, in Memory of Edward "Ed" Yager, on Saturday, June 14, 2025, from 11:30 A.M. until... at the Yager Homestead Farm, at 5025 Zimmer Road, Constableville, NY.  Mr,. yager, age 79, husband of Christine Cushman Yager, passed away on December 16, 2024.  He was a native of Hawkinsville and received his education at Boonville Central School.  Later for many years the couple operated a dairy farm and resided on Zimmer Road, near Constableville.
