Sandra Joan Scouten

Boonville – Sandra Joan Scouten, 63, of East Road, passed away in the comfort of her home on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, while under the loving care of her husband Michael and Hospice of Lewis County.

Sandy was born on February 18, 1963 a daughter of Raymond M. and Susan I. Markham Scouten. She grew up in Port Leyden where she completed her education at South Lewis Central School.

In July 2000 she met the love of her life Michael J. Lisowski. The couple settled on the East Road, where they have since lived, spending 26 affectionate years together.

Sandy enjoyed drawing and arts and crafts. Her lifelong passion has been the rescue and rehabilitation of animals of all kinds great and small. She will be fondly remembered for her gifts and talents raising and caring for horses. She was talented in the restoration of their health and made it her mission to provide proper care and a loving home.

She is survived by her husband Michael, her sons: Josh Stone, Dean (Shela) Stone, granddaughter Lagertha Stone, brother Michael (Terry) Scouten, sister Amy (Rob) Mosley, and nieces and nephews; Hannah McConnell(Randi Lynn), Isaiah Ikusika, and Olivia Scouten.
