Remsen – Robert J. Zacek, 80, a lifelong resident of the Town of Remsen, passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2026 at University Hospital, Syracuse.
He was born on April 29, 1946, a son of John V. and Florence J. Roberts Zacek. Following his graduation from Remsen Central School, Robert served in the US Navy from 1968-1971. For several years Robert owned and operated the Remen Foodland Store.
He is survived by his sister Bonnie Gates of Colorado, several nieces and nephews, and leaves behind good friends: Mary Ann Nustza and James Ward.
In keeping with is wishes there will be no services. Memorial contributions may be made to the Remsen Volunteer Fire Co., P.O. Box #299, Remsen, New York 13438.
