Rebecca D. Hough

McKeever – Rebecca D. Hough, 68, passed away in the comfort of her home on Wednesday, September 2, 2026.

Affectionally known as Becky, she was born in Constableville on October 6, 1957, a daughter of Allen F. Hough, Sr. and Betty Griffith Hough. She grew up in Hawkinsville, and received her education at Adirondack Central School, graduating with the Class of 1977. In 1963, her family moved to McKeever, where she has since lived. Becky worked for Everett and Katie Jones Flower Shop in Boonville, Erwin Library & Institute, and for several years worked in manufacturing at the Mohawk Valley Workshop in Utica.

Becky will be fondly remembered by her family, friends, and community for her talents knitting and crocheting. She thoroughly loved time spent with her mother making socks, slippers, hats, gloves, and many other things that they gifted to everyone.

She is survived by her father Allen F. Hough, Sr., McKeever, her brother Allen F. Hough, Jr., Boonville, and cousins Joe Podkowka (Amy Kowalik), James (Nicole) Podkowka, and Mike Salmon, all of Boonville. She was predeceased by her mother Betty Hough on August 2, 2026.

In keeping with her wishes, all services will be held privately by her family. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the Old Forge Fire Dept. Ambulance.
