Noreen B. Stacy

Blossvale – Noreen Esther Brooks Stacy, 85, passed way at Oneida Hospital after a brief illness.

Noreen was the daughter of Leon and Julia DeVoe Brooks, Boonville, NY. She was born on May 24, 1941 at the family farm on East Road, Boonville. She attended and graduated from Boonville High School.

She married the love of her life, Richard Stacy, Sr., on July 25, 1959. They had three children together: Rick (Tami) Stacy, Blossvale, Randy (Denise) Stacy, Blossvale, and Renee Stacy, Canastota. She has five grandchildren: James (Juvy) Stacy, Julia Stacy, Brad (Ayla) Stacy, Trevor (Shandelle) Stacy, and Tristan Stacy. She was further blessed with six great-grandchildren: Gabriel, Rylie, River, Briar, Freyja, and Ellis.

Noreen was employed by Harden Furniture Co. for many years. She also worked at Gillette SuperMarket, and Delta Lake State Park.

Noreen is survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, as well as a sister Linda Peebles, California, brothers-in-law: Charlie Mooney, Boonville, and Bob Matuszczak, Port Leyden. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews who she adored.

She was predeceased by her husband Richard “Dick” Stacy, Sr., her parents Leon and Julia DeVoe Brooks, her brother and sister-in-law Bruce and Peggy Brooks, sisters: Jean Mooney, Joanne Levensailor, Sally Urtz and Erma Matuszczak, and brothers-in-law: Bill Stacy, Russell Urtz, Jack Peebles and David Jones.
