Maureen O'Connor

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Maureen O’Connor who departed on August 7th at the age of 85. She passed peacefully, surrounded by the wonderful love of her daughter, Mary Kampf and family.

Maureen was a beacon of warmth, kindness, and strength. Born in Buffalo, New York, she lived a life full of compassion and grace. As a mother, she poured her heart into raising her family, teaching the values of love, faith and being a ray of warm, yellow sunshine to everyone around her.

Her laughter filled our home, her hugs welcomed our hearts, and her eternal energy shaped our lives. She was not only our mother, but our greatest friend. This was especially true to her granddaughter, Allyson Kampf.

Maureen is survived by her two children: Mary Kostick-Kampf (Ed) NY and Joe Kostick (Annri) HI, granddaughter Allyson Kampf NY, brothers Timothy and Patrick O’Connor NY and her half-sister Annette Gleason MO. She is predeceased by 8 siblings. We would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to the team at Sunset Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Boonville, NY for their tireless care and kindness to Maureen in her final years.

Though she may be gone, her light will never fade. Her love lives on in each of us—forever.
