Janet K. Bradley

Forestport- Janet K. Bradley, 70, widow of Joseph, passed away on February 8, 2016, after being stricken at home. Jan was born on September 7, 1945 in Watertown, a daughter of Kenneth and Shirley Warren Beckstead. She was raised in the Watertown area where she was educated. She resided in Herkimer for several years, before her marriage to Joseph Bradley on August 20, 1991. Following her marriage the couple moved to Forestport, where she has since lived. Mr. Bradley, a retired inspector at Special Metals, New Hartford, passed away on January 8, 1997. Jan enjoyed the time she spent in her flower gardens. She was very proud of her 30 years of sobriety, and volunteered many years for AA, where she sponsored and supported so many. Her dog "Arrows" was her pride and joy. She is survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers, sisters and many special friends. Besides her husband, Jan was predeceased by her parents, and one brother. In keeping with Jan's wishes there will be no services. Contributions in her memory may be made to a local food pantry of your choice.
