Elaine A. Vert

Remsen- Elaine A. Vert, 82, a resident of Steuben St., passed away at Sunset Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Boonville, on Tuesday, June 9, 2026.

Miss Vert was born in Utica, on February 25, 1944, a daughter of Erwin and Lillian Wangerin Vert. Her younger life was spent on the family farm near Trenton Falls. Her family moved to the village of Remsen, in 1946, where she attended school and graduated from Remsen Central School, with the Class of 1962. After finishing high school, Miss Vert was employed by Marine Midland Bank in Utica. She retired several years ago.

She was a member of the Remsen Methodist Church.

Miss Vert is survived by a nephew, Dale Roberts, Hanover, Pennsylvania. She was predeceased by a brother, Ronald, who died in 1933, by a sister, Janet, in October, 2007, and by two nieces, Carolyn Roberts and Deborah Roberts.

Her Funeral services will be on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. at the Remsen Methodist Church, Main St. Remsen, where a calling hour will be from 1:00 P.M. until the service, also on Tuesday. Interment will follow in South Trenton Cemetery. Her arrangements are in care of Trainor Funeral Home, Inc., Boonville.
