Eileen Florence (Clover) Twiss, 81, passed from this earth on November 10, 2025 in Hoschton, Georgia. She was born January 26, 1944, to Leon and Roberta (Genther) Clover in Utica, New York. She graduated from Whitesboro High School in 1963.
Eileen married James (Jim) L. Twiss on July 18, 1964; they later divorced. They had three daughters: Kelly, Virginia, and Myrna.
Eileen performed data entry work for most of her career, beginning at Oneida National Bank and continuing through its transitions to Fleet Bank and Bank of America. She held several other jobs, including at Tri-State Laundry in the early 1980s, and spent several years before retirement as a cashier at the Walmart in North Utica.
As a single mom, Eileen worked hard—sometimes at multiple jobs—while also relying on the love and support of her family to help raise her three girls. Though her days were often filled with work, Eileen found joy in the pages of a good book.
Eileen is predeceased by her nephew Charles (Chucky) Clover; her parents; her brother Charles (Charlie) and sister-in-law Caroline Clover; and her sister May Clover.
She is survived by her daughters: Kelly and son-in-law Bill Gooch of Hoschton, Georgia; Virginia McKee of Whitesboro, New York; and Myrna and son-in-law Kory Crane of Rome, New York.
Eileen is also survived by her nieces Jean (Clover) Jones and great-nephew Nathan of Frankfort, New York; Teresa (Clover) and her husband Jon Decker of Remsen, New York, along with great-nephew Kade and great-niece Kendall; Elizabeth Clover of Frankfort, New York; and her nephew Michael (Mike) Clover, his wife Carrie, of Forestport, New York and their children—great-niece Kayla and great-nephews Austin and Jonathon.
Eileen spent her final days surrounded by a second family of devoted caregivers, including Marie Joseph, Kloe Dorce, Karen Jean-Louis, and Paceline Jean.
Eileen will be laid to rest among her family in Rural Cemetery in Constableville, New York, in Spring 2026, at a time to be chosen by her loved ones. Arrangements are entrusted to Braselton Funeral Home of Braselton, Georgia and Trainor Funeral Home of Boonville, New York. For an online message of sympathy, please go to www.trainorfuneralhome.com.
