Courtney J. Schleicher

Glenfield – Courtney J. Schleicher, 49, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Monday, September 14, 2026.

She was born on February 25, 1977 in Lowville, a daughter of Garry and Patricia Gaetano Schleicher. Courtney completed her education at South Lewis Central School. On September 7, 1996, she was united in marriage with Mark Sullivan, and together they raised their three children Ryan, Mitchell and Hailee. The marriage later ended in divorce.

Courtney was very proud of obtaining her certified nurses aide certification, and for several years she was employed as a CNA at Sunset Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Boonville. She will be fondly remembered for her wonderful talents in the kitchen. She found great joy in cooking, and was the wonderful host of many family cookouts and holiday gatherings. Above all other things, being a loving mother and raising her children is what Courtney cherished.

She is survived by her son Mitchell (Kaitlyn) Sullivan, Carthage, her daughter Hailee Sullivan, Constableville, her grandchildren: Jack Sullivan, Karter Tucker and Ryder Thill, her sisters: Valerie (AJ) Engel, Lyons Falls, and Felicia (Jeff) Birgenheier, FL, Kimberly(John) Tengel, Boonville, brother: Andrew (Sonia) Wendt, Constableville, father Garry Schleicher, NC, step-father: David Wendt, Constableville, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her son Ryan Flansburg on May 17, 2019, and her mother Patricia Wendt on September 7, 2016.

Calling Hours will be held on Friday, September 18, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville. Interment will take place on Wednesday, September 23, at 11:00 am at Rural Cemetery, Constableville, followed by a luncheon and celebration of life at the Constableville Vol. Fire Dept., where donations of food may be dropped off that morning beginning at 10:00 am.
