Catherine E. Benz

White Lake, NY- November 11, 1950 – July 20, 2025, Catherine was the mother of Joseph and Matthew Benz and wife of late Frank Benz, who passed away on September 1, 2010. She was predeceased by her mother, June (Ball) Rodzinski father, Edmund Rodzinski; brother Edmond Rodzinski and stepson, Frank J. Benz.

In addition to her sons, Joseph and Matthew, Catherine is survived by her beloved grandchildren, as well as her life partner, Terry West and his loving family.

She was born in Utica, a daughter of Edmund and June (Ball) Rodzinski, and she grew up in Old Forge, where she received her education, graduating from the Town of Webb Union Free School, with the Class of 1975. Later, for several years, Mrs. Benz lived in Florida, where she was employed as a sales associate in telephone consulting, in Sarasota, Fl. In September 2001, she returned to White Lake.

Catherine was gifted with a kind spirit and demeanor; she was known to serve a hot meal, or lend an ear to listen to what was on a loved one’s heart or mind, whether during the day or late at night and, whether near or far, she would never judge. During her life, Catherine could be depended upon to care for her loved ones.

Final service will be under the love and care of her immediate family members and later there will be a celebration of her life. Her family extends a note of appreciation to Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. Boonville, NY, for caring for her arrangements.
