Amy L. Grems

Boonville- Amy L. Grems, 56, of East Schuyler St., passed away on Saturday, January 1, 2022, at Albany medical Center, Albany, NY, after a heroic seven-year battle with kidney failure. Amy was born on November 23, 1965, in Pontiac, IL, a daughter of Francis and Madeline Deffenbaugh. She was raised in Pontiac, where she received her education. Later she moved to Syracuse, where she lived for many years before moving to Remsen in 2019 and Boonville in June, 2021. Amy was first and foremost a homemaker who raised seven children. She also enjoyed cooking, family cookouts, writing and watching criminal shows. She was a noted dog and cat lover. She is survived by her children; Michael Schramm, Syracuse, Conrad Schramm, Boonville, Felicia (DJ) Schramm, Remsen, Keifer (Sarakelly) Schramm, Oneida, Tori (Brian) Marsden, Boonville and Slowne Schramm, MI. She was predeceased by an infant son, Larry Schramm. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and two sisters. In keeping with Amy's wishes her services were private. Memorial contributions may be made to a humane society of your choice. Her arrangements are in care of Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville.
