Aaron Sosnowski, 56, passed away unexpectedly on October 8, 2026.

Born in Rome, New York, on October 17, 1969, Aaron was the son of Stanley and Nancy (Peck) Sosnowski. He spent much of his life in the Boonville area.

Aaron’s love for his country was woven into who he was. He joined the United States Marine Corps, where he honed the mechanical skills that would become such a familiar part of his life. With a lifelong passion for anything with wheels and a love of living life fast, Aaron was especially drawn to motorcycles. He was a gifted mechanic with a knack for understanding what made them run.

He had a creative mind and a talent to bring his ideas to fruition from detailed paint jobs on his bikes, utilizing building and carpentry skills, many learned from his father, or the ability to create virtually anything needed to get the job done. His potential was endless.

Clever and knowledgeable, he had a mind full of facts and could often surprise those around him with just how much he knew.

A colorful personality you could hear coming, Aaron brought his own unmistakable presence wherever he went, often with a banjo or harmonica in hand. Music was a constant in his life. He loved the Allman Brothers Band and Lynyrd Skynyrd, with “Midnight Rider” holding a special place in his heart.

Aaron shared a unique bond with his twin sister, Aimee, who was his biggest supporter throughout his life. Both his sisters’ love and support held a special place in his story, as did the deep connection he shared with his late mother, Nancy.

Aaron leaves behind his sisters, Aimee Shew and her husband, Tim, and Lisa Hill and her husband, Brian. He was an uncle who brought laughter and little treasures to his nieces and nephews, Eric, Brittany, Morgan, Sara, Tanner, Adam, Evelyn, and Liam leaving each with memories to hold close. He was predeceased by his parents.

It was a wild ride, Aaron. As you would say, “Heck darn.”
