Robert B. 'Bob' Lyndaker

Boonville- Robert B. Lyndaker, 63, of Hawkinsville Road, affectionately known as "Bob," husband of Robin, passed away at his residence, on Wednesday, December 17, 2014, after a brief illness, while under the loving care of his family and hospice. He was born in Lowville, on July 12, 1951, the eldest son of Donald and Shirley Snyder Lyndaker. He grew up in the Castorland and Naumburg area, graduating from Beaver River Central School, with the Class of 1969. While growing up Bob was employed at farms in the Naumburg area. For over 45 years, Mr. Lyndaker was employed as a tractor trailer driver for the logging industry in northern New York, including Les Card and Jim Simpson, both of Carthage, Bruce Turck, Port Leyden and P & W Forestry, Poland; his last employment for the past 7 years was at 3B Timber Co., Boonville. On September 14, 2002, Bob was married to Robin C. Finster, at Lyons Falls Bible Fellowship Church, Lyons Falls. After that the couple lived in Port Leyden, before moving to their present home near Hawkinsville. He was a member of Boonville Elks Lodge # 2158, and he greatly enjoyed spring time sugaring and at spending time year around at the Lyndaker Camp and Sugar Bush near Lowville. He also enjoyed 4 wheel riding, NASCAR and traveling to Florida with his wife and his close friends Mike and Lori. He enjoyed his canine favorites, Shiloh and Addison. In addition to his wife, Robin, Bob is survived by one daughter, Amy (James) Pate, Huntersville, NC; two sons, Loren (Tina) Lyndaker, Welcome, NC, Ronny Lyndaker, Hoover, AL; step children, Reena (Josh) Rogers, Lyons Falls, Renea Farr, Port Leyden, Richard Farr, Greig, and fourteen grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, Donald and Shirley Lyndaker. Also surviving are his brothers and sisters, Rod and Dawn Lyndaker, Carthage, Randy and Ellen Lyndaker, Castorland, Steve and Joanne Lyndaker, Carthage, Cathy Simpson and Loren Hoppel, Castorland, Donna and Mike Turck, Carthage, Brenda and Tom Monnat, Castorland and Wendy and Bruce McLane, Croghan; his sisters in law, Sharon and Tim Thayer, Port Leyden, Bonnie and Dean Keefer, Donna and Bob Farr, Michelle and Forest Farr, Kathy and John Tucker, all of Lyons Falls, and Carla and David Keefer, Lowville; brother and sister in law, Carlton and Deanna Finster, Croghan; and his mother in law, Shirley Finster, Port Leyden. His Funeral will be Saturday at 11:00 A.M. at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville, where Pastor Daniel Richter, of the Boonville United Methodist Church will officiate.
