Clifford Nichols

Boonville - Clifford Nichols, 87, affectionately known as Cliff, passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare, New Hartford, following a lengthy illness. He was born on November 19, 1928 in Otsego, NY a son of Lynn and Grace May Silvey Nichols. For many years Cliff was employed in the housekeeping department as a janitor at Faxton Hospital, Utica. Clifford was a resident of the Grant Street IRA, Utica, before moving to the Post Street IRA, Boonville twelve years ago. He will fondly be remembered for his affection and attention shown to those around him, both residents and staff. He was an avid card player, and enjoyed going out to for dinner, especially to the Buffalo Head Restaurant, Forestport. Clifford is survived by his many caregivers and friends at the CNYDSO Post Street and Grant Street IRA's as well as the staff of the Schoonmaker Day Hab facility in Boonville. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, May 9, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville, with interment to follow in Boonville Cemetery. A calling hour will precede the funeral from 10 am until the service.
