Lyons Falls – Anthony O. Sorrell, Jr., 60, formerly of Center St., most recently of Sunset Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Boonville, passed away on December 13, 2022 at Albany Medical Center following a brief illness.
Tony was born on April 11, 1962 in Syracuse, New York, a son of Anthony and Sara Champion Sorrell. He grew up in Port Leyden, where he received his education, graduating from South Lewis Central School with the Class of 1983. He enjoyed a variety of sports, and will be fondly remembered cheering on Jeff Gordon in NASCAR races and watching Pittsburg Steelers football. He was also a devoted fan of Shania Twain. He loved a good meal and fellowship with his friends. For a number of years, he had resided with his good friends Geno and Denise Clark.
He cherished the time spent with his nieces and nephews who loved him dearly; they survive him, as well as a multitude of friends he has made through the years. He was predeceased by his parents, a brother Lonnie Sorrell and a nephew Dallas Sorrell.
Graveside services will be held in the spring in Wildwood Cemetery, Lyons Falls. There will be no calling hours. Funeral Arrangements are in care of the Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville.
